Head of Fundraising and Communications (9 to 12 months maternity cover)
Full-time
Salary: £35,838 p.a + non-contributory pension
The World Development Movement is a vibrant movement campaigning for a fairer world. Working in solidarity with activists around the world, we tackle the causes of poverty. We research and promote positive alternatives that put the rights of poor communities before the interests of big business.
This senior management post offers an exciting opportunity to lead a small team in maximising income from existing supporters, trusts & foundations as well as implementing strategies to recruit new supporters and diversify income streams, with particular focus on new media. You will also have input into the strategic direction of our campaigns.
To meet this challenge you must have a strong track record in fundraising, with particular experience in major donor and / or direct marketing. You will be a part of the senior management team and have the skills to inspire, motivate and lead the fundraising & communications team to achieve its annual income target in the region of £1 million.
WDM offers a flexi-time working system with core hours from 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.
