How to support our campaigns

Thanks to your support, WDM is a dynamic, independent and effective movement for change

WDM is an increasingly influential movement of people, committed to finding solutions to the root causes of world poverty. I respect them because they are not afraid to deal with the issues head on. Join me by supporting WDM.

Benjamin Zephaniah

Crowd of activists

Over the past forty years WDM has scored many campaign victories in our fight for justice for the world's poor; from helping the poorest countries in the world get their unfair debts cancelled, campaigning for fair trade and against undemocratic trade deals, to fighting the case for affordable water for all.

Often our campaigns have taken on a life of their own and become something much greater than we could have hoped for. WDM was a founding member of the Fairtrade Foundation, the Jubilee Debt Campaign, the Trade Justice Movement and more recently Make Poverty History.

You can join us, make a donation or support us tax-effectively through your payroll.

Campaign after you're gone by remembering us in your Will.

Or choose from a variety of other ways to support us including gifts in tribute or celebration, recycling, opening a WDM Saver Account, ethical investments and taking part in sponsored events.

Become a member

I am a member of WDM because traditional charity is not enough. I would rather change the system so people can help themselves.

Leave a legacy

When my wife and I made new Wills recently we both  included the World Development Movement. We are embarrassed that in this day and age, a small minority is so wealthy, while the poorest people still struggle to live. There is something terribly wrong with such injustice. World economic structures must be reformed and the World Development Movement is uniquely engaged in this task.

Revd Barrie Swift, WDM supporter and East Devon group member

Please consider WDM when making or changing your Will

WDM has delivered real change for 40 years. Leaving a gift in your Will is a great way to help the next generation of activists fight poverty and injustice. This is a personal decision, but if you would like to discuss it with us, contact us or give us a call on 0800 328 2153
