Over the past forty years WDM has scored many campaign victories in our fight for justice for the world's poor; from helping the poorest countries in the world get their unfair debts cancelled, campaigning for fair trade and against undemocratic trade deals, to fighting the case for affordable water for all.

Often our campaigns have taken on a life of their own and become something much greater than we could have hoped for. WDM was a founding member of the Fairtrade Foundation, the Jubilee Debt Campaign, the Trade Justice Movement and more recently Make Poverty History.

If your company offers a payroll giving scheme you can give the same regular gift you already give each month but at a saving to you

Other ways to help

There are lots of ways you can support WDM and make a difference in the wider world at the same time. You can:

Recycle your mobile phone or printer cartridge. Great for the environment and for WDM! We receive up to £10 for every mobile phone and £1.50 for each recyclable inkjet cartridge.
Take part in a challenge event, such as the London Triathlon, London to Paris cycle ride or a 5km run. Get sponsored and raise money for WDM's campaigns.
Set up a WDM Saver Account with Triodos Bank and make your money work for good. Triodos donate 0.25% of the average balance of funds in the account each year.
Get advice on making ethical investments. Contact Investing Ethically and they will donate 10% of the commission they receive.

Everything you do to support WDM will make a real difference. Help us continue to win lasting change for the world's poorest people.

Give in memory or celebration

Encourage friends and family members to make a donation to WDM in memory of a loved one who valued our work. In this way, you can commemorate someone's life whilst helping WDM make a difference to the lives of the world's poorest people.

Or if you are celebrating a birthday, wedding, anniversary or any other occasion why not encourage friends and family to donate to WDM instead of buying you gifts.

How to organise these types of donations

WDM will provide special cards to distribute to your family and friends to explain how they can donate to us. We can also provide leaflets which explain more about WDM's work in winning justice for the world's poor.

Event sponsorship

Do you want to win positive changes for the world's poor and have some fun along the way? Take part in one of WDM's organised sponsored events, such as the London to Paris cycle ride, or choose your own. We’ll send you a WDM t-shirt and provide fundraising advice.

There are many imaginative ways you can fundraise to support the vital work of WDM. From coffee mornings to sponsored parachute jumps - the sky's the limit! Whatever you choose to do we will be on hand to support you all the way.

You can create your own sponsorship page on the Justgiving website. It’s a secure and easy way to raise funds. Plus, through Gift Aid we can claim an extra 28% on every donation at no extra cost – this is all done automatically by Justgiving.
