Have your say on the Climate bill
The UK must do its fair share to tackle climate change.
The draft climate change bill, launched this March is a key opportunity to get reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions enshrined into UK law.
WDM wants to see a strong and effective climate bill that will lead the way towards a global low carbon economy. If the rise in average global temperature isn’t kept below 2oC, the impacts on the world’s poorest people will be devastating.
The bill is open to public consultation until 12 June, and it is a key time for you to make your voice heard.
What is needed in the bill?
• Targets that reflect scientific thinking
• Inclusion of aviation emissions
• Annual targets for CO2 reductions
• International development expertise
