With only weeks to go, the EU is putting intense pressure on 76 African, Caribbean and Pacific countries to sign free trade agreements that pose serious risks to jobs, livelihoods, economies and the environment.
Zambia is projected to lose up to $15 million – the same amount its government spends on HIV/AIDS annually. This is just one example of how the current agreements could jeopardise progress towards the Millennium Development Goals.
