Show your solidarity with the Tanzanian people

Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. 28 per cent of people in Tanzania have no access to clean water.

On 16 April hearings of the legal action launched by UK company Biwater against the government of Tanzania begins. This is about a failed water privatisation contract.

At Biwater’s insistence this case will be held behind closed doors and on foreign soil. It will take months to resolve and will use up valuable resources that the Tanzanian government can ill afford.

The following pictures show the real story of what life is like without water in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
