On Saturday 8 June protests were held in support of food sovereignty, rather than David Cameron and the G8's preferred approach. Known as the “New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition”, it will see aid money support big business, and developing countries forced to implement policies which will exacerbate rather than reduce hunger.
