Enjoy phenomenal views and take home the memories of a lifetime while walking to the highest point in Britain, the peak of Ben Nevis. All while raising much needed funds for WDM’s campaigns to tackle the root causes of poverty.

Where: Ben Nevis, Scotland

When: 13-15 Sept 2013

Days: 3 Days (over a weekend)

Non refundable deposit: £75

Minimum sponsorship: £500 (participants have the option of including the cost of the event in this target)

What’s included: Two nights B&B accommodation, packed lunches, fully qualified walking guides. Transport from and to Glasgow.

Walk the West Highland Way

Challenge yourself with this incredible six day walk along the West Highland Way.

Trek one of the most spectacular long-distance walks in the UK, the West Highland Way. You will walk from the outskirts of Scotland’s largest city to the foot of its highest mountain, following the shores of its largest freshwater loch.

This 95 mile route is an inspiring place to challenge yourself and raise important funds for WDM’s campaigns.

Where: West Highland Way, Scotland, linking Milngavie to Fort William.

When: 17-22 May 2014

Days: 6 days walking (5 nights stay)

Non refundable deposit: £75

Minimum sponsorship: £850 (participants have the option of including the cost of the event in this target)

What’s included: Overnight B&B. Packed lunches and transport of luggage during the walk. Fully qualified guides....

Festive Santa run

Get festive, stay warm, and raise vital funds with this 5k run.

Santas lined up to start running

Run, jog or walk your way round Greenwich Park with hundreds of Santas, Father Christmases, Kris Kringles and maybe even the odd Rudolph and elf.

Perfect for anyone of average fitness, all you need is a good pair of trainers to help raise vital funds for WDM’s campaigns to tackle the root causes of poverty.

For those wanting to push themselves that bit further, a 10k run is also available on the same day.

Where and when: Greenwich Park, London, Sunday 8 December 2013 (TBC).

London to Brighton cycle ride

It’s been done in minis and vintage cars, now you can do it on your bike. Starting in south London, the ride rolls its way through the winding roads of southern England and on to Brighton.
