Watch online
For the first time ever, the World Development Movement will be streaming 3 events live on the internet.
Because a lot of this technology is new, we will be using several different systems - this will hopefully give us some redundancy if we run into problems.
In addition to the live feeds we are publishing videos on the tried and tested youtube format. We will be publishing both the talking heads videos, and then video from the actual events.
What you will need to watch online
We've tried to make the online video accessible to as many systems as possible - but you will need:
- A broadband connection
- A computer with sound
- A modern browser (Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox, Opera)
- The latest Flash plugin (for the Manchester, Cardiff events and for the talking heads video wall)
- The Windows media plugin (for the London event)
Windows media is standard on most PC browsers, and should normally just work without you having to do anything. Mac users can download Windows media from Microsoft. There is also some additional information available here about Windows media for Linux and Mac users.
Most modern browsers will have the flash plugin by default, but you can download flash from Adobe.
The easiest way of testing your browser is to have a look at our video wall - if you can see the videos everything is working ok.
Feedback
Please register for the events - even if you want to watch online. We will be asking for feedback after the events to find out what worked, and what didn't.
