Kendra Okonski
Kendra Okonski is Environment Programme Director at International Policy Network (policynetwork.net), a London-based development charity which educates the public about the role of market institutions in the context of global policy debates. She has worked for IPN since 2001, editing publications, carrying out website development, and coordinating IPN’s presence and activities at UN and WTO meetings. She is the editor or co-editor of several publications, including The Water Revolution (2006), and Environment and Health (2004), and an edition of the peer-reviewed journal Energy and Environment. She is also the author of Montana: On the Verge of Collapse? (Property and Environment Research Center, 2006). She frequently contributes to broadcast media such as the BBC (tv and radio) and CNN, and print media such as the Wall Street Journal, Business Day, and The Australian on a realm of development and environment issues. She is a fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and a Council Member of the University of Buckingham.
Prior to her work at IPN, she worked at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a Washington, DC-based think tank, as a researcher to its president. She has a degree in economics from Hillsdale College. She is fluent in Spanish, and grew up in Chile and Montana.
