Charitable trusts and foundations - vital support

The World Development Movement (WDM) works in partnership with a growing number of UK trusts and foundations to challenge and change the policies that keep the developing world poor.

We have been fortunate enough to build relationships with a range of far-sighted trusts and foundations that share our vision that change is needed to the policies and practices of countries in the North that keep people poor in the South. This invaluable support allows WDM to be at the vanguard of creating real change that benefits poor people.

Through the World Development Movement Trust, charitable trusts and foundations can help us to set the agenda on positive social change. For more information on how your trust or foundation can help, please telephone us on 0207 820 4900 or write to the Director at 66 Offley Road, London, SW9 0LS.

Please read our most recent Annual Review and Accounts. Or contact us and we will be happy to send you copies in the post.

Why do trusts and foundations support WDM?

"We are involved with organisations in India and see at first hand the disastrous effects of a flawed global economic system, of unfair trade regulations and of corporations driving down the price farmers receive for their produce. Continuing and increasing inequality is causing an epidemic of suicides and a pervasive feeling of injustice that can only lead to yet more violence.

"The World Development Movement has been consistently struggling for a better approach and achieves wide support from the public, particularly among the young. We are pleased with the opportunity of supporting WDM and feel that the most useful way is to provide core funding on a regular basis."
